Monster Magnet – “Spine Of God” LP
The debut studio album, released in Europe in 1991 on Glitterhouse Records and in the United States on Caroline Records the following year. Hard-edged space rock, from a pivotal moment in time that was shared with peak-era Kyuss, Soundgarden and Mudhoney. An LP that features a cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s “Sin’s a Good Man’s Brother”- a good indication of how and why Monster Magnet stood out from the generic grunge-rock of the day.
