Miscalculations – “Echolocation” LP
This is the fourth full-length LP from London’s Miscalculations since their formation sometime ealier in the last decade. Something like a modern take on Zounds and Magazine. A post-punk/anarcho-punk fusion can be a bit too moody and down-beat at times, but not here: the spirit of LA punk brightens this up no end (Middle Class, Dils), the result is definitely up-beat, and not disimilar to what Neon Piss were doing a few years ago; while the synth-punk aspect of their sound puts them in the same camp as Total Control.
