Koyo – “Would You Miss It?” LP
Hot on the heels of a slew of 7″ EPs the Long Island melodic hardcore band have taken their their next step with a debut album. It’s on Pure Noise, so yes, it’s pretty slick and polished – I don’t know if the term ‘radio friendly’ really has any significance anymore, (who cares anyway) – but Koyo’s DNA is emo via hardcore punk, and the authenticity and genuine passion still shines through. If the songs are there, along with the high-energy, (with a decent degree of integrity remaining intact) – then embrace it and celebrate it.
