Have Heart reunited to play some shows in 2019, (playing to an audience of 10,000 in a Boston parking lot!), which combined with the popularity of Shawn Costa and Patrick Flyn’s current project Fiddlehead makes for an appropriate time to reapraise their earlier albums from back in the day: Recorded in 2008 with Kurt Ballou of Converge at God City Studio, Songs to Scream at the Sun is their second full-length. Spawned from their straight edge hardcore roots, (Youth Of Today, 97A, In my Eyes, Verbal Assault) but evolved to encompass much more, Songs To Scream… is a coming of age story: “It’s about the growing process of a young kid shaking the chains of selfishness, but it’s everything about what you lose and gain in that process of growing up.” – Patrick Flyn
