H2O – “Self-titled: Silver Anniversary Edition” LP
To commemorate the 25 year anniversary of the debut album by New York’s H2o (originally released in 1996 by Blackout!) Bridge Nine Records gave it their silver-vinyl treatment – a one-time edition of 1,000 copies on silver vinyl, housed in black-and-white printed silverboard jackets. Taking their cues from Sick Of It All, Gorilla Biscuits and Token Entry, these guys opted for a lighter, breezier version of NYHC, taking-on additional melodic punk sensibilities, similar to LagWagon and Bouncing Souls, all the while keeping it pumped and energetic.
