GrimpleĀ  – “Up Your Ass” LP

An East Bay punk album from 1993, originally released by legendary punk photographer Murray Bowles and Eric Yee on their M&E record label. Grimple moved from New Mexico, where they were hanging out with heavy bands like Logical Nonsense and World Salad, to Oakland and the 924 Gilman scene, where they absorbed the sounds of Filth, Econochrist, Crimpshrine and Rancid.
Fifteen tracks recorded by legendary Lookout Records producer Kevin Army. Riotous fast-paced hardcore in the tradition of both Christ On Parade and No FX, with the caustic pop-punk of those classic Lookout!/East Bay bands. Rough edged, drunk, and probably a bit smelly. This new version replicates the original, with slight changes to the lyric sheet and an additional printed inner sleeve of band photos by Murray.
