Government Issue – “You” LP
The Washington DC band’s second to last album, released by Giant Records in 1987. An album that includes classic tracks like “Jaded Eyes” and “Where You Live”, it’s an important record within the canon of late 80’s Washington DC (and Worldwide) hardcore. Hugely indebted to the talents of J Robbins (bass) and Peter Moffet (drums) who totally kill it n this record. John Stabb was often opting for a Damned/goth-rock influence on this one, and I prefer the more upbeat album, Crash, as the overall vibe on You is darker and a little dour by comparison.
