At what point does a split record become a compilation record? When there’s at least a 5th band I suppose… Still in press, this a sampler of four of America’s heavier noise-bastards, captured in their moment of arrival, back in 2016. Gatecreeper you probably already know about due to their LPs on Relapse; same applies to the more power-violence influenced Homewrecker; while Outer Heaven, and Scorched (Unspeakable Axe Records) each take their own approach to death metal with varying influences from outside the genre.
