absib, is the solo project (with full backing band) of Shannon Taylor. Based in San Jose, California, she blasts out old school, Mid-Western emo with tinges of volume-busting screamo. This follows on from the “What People Call Low Self-Esteem…” LP of 2018. Columbus, Ohio’s For Your Health follow-up their debut full-length of 2021, Out Of Spite, they also take on board some old style emo to mix-in with their modern take on screamo – like they’ve been tracking down a few Polyvinyl Jade Tree records from the 1990s.
