The fourth album, released in 1998 on Honest Don’s Records. Does anyone remember Fluf? In the 1990s, for the lucky people who were in the know, they ruled! At a time when you had Offspring and Nofx showing-off their skate/sports gear in the pages of Kerrang, San Diego’s Fluf were the welcome antithesis – deeply uncool in a dont’ give-a-fuck-way that made them inevitably, yup, deeply fucking cool. Great pop-punk tunes, with grungey, stoner-heavy guitars and open-string Bob Mold guitar melodies, carrying O’s gruff, idiosyncratic vocals and insightful, humorous lyrics on the top – one of the great singer/songwriters of his generation. Not too late to start the Fluf appreciation.
