Farside – “Rochambeau” LP
A pivotol record from 1992 for both Revelation and the international straight edge scene in general – eschewing the previous hallmarks of that scene – the speed, the aggression and the pointed fingers – Farside’s first full length release instead opted for the mid-paced melodic influence of Husker Du, The Descendents, Dag Nasty, and Big Drill Car. I guess the time was ripe for a change, this album that went down exceedingly well as I recall it, and before long Farside were joined Sensefield, Shades Apart, Quicksand, Texas Is The Reason etc.
