Faith – “Subject To Change Plus First Demo” LP
This LP collects their 1983 Subject To Change 12″ record and their first demo from 1981, nineteen tracks in total. One of the finest examples of early Washington DC hardcore, formed from the ashes of SOA and The Untouchables. Faith were short-lived but their impact, before members moved on to Rites Of Spring, Ignition and Embrace, was, of course, huge. The bands fronted by Alec Mackaye were sometimes overshadowed by the success of his odler brother. Which is unfortunate, and wrong, because Faith, and then Ignition were as good as (if not better than!) both Minor Threat, and Fugazi.
