Traditional thrash metal given a contemporary spin. The third album, just two years have passed since their previous vinyl outing, Kill Grid. Deeply indebted to the early death metal albums of the late 80s and early 90s, with plenty of speed, grit, riffs, and more riffs; there is still hardcore within their shared DNA, most of all in the vocals, but their hair is long – which is an important distinction when working-out where a band falls on the punk-to-metal spectrum. Early Slayer melded to Power Trip with an all-out aggression that is tight, fast and focused. Probably the best thrash record of the year.
