Chain Cult – “We’re Not Alone” 7″ EP
More anthemic post-punk melodies from this Athens trio, following-up their Shallow Grave album of 2019. Hard-hit drums undercut the swirl of dark guitar melodies, lead by sung vocals that possess an essence of Killing Joke’s Jaz Coleman, emulating his occult menace and warrior chants. Reminds me of what Crusades were doing a few years ago, but punked-up with extra pogo energy and anarcho suss.
