The sophomore effort from Sweden’s progressive, post-hardcore, metallers. Dense, complex layers of sound that crush and caress in equal measure. A perfect solution to the trick of successfully intertwining both melodic vocals and harsh, hardcore-style screaming (something that has eluded most metalcore bands ever since), combined into a maelstrom that is awash with intricate guitar work and crushing grindcore-influenced rhythms. Originally released by Relapse Records in 2005, and a welcome return for a band deserving of far more credit and recognition than (perhaps) they received back in the day.
