Black Uniforms – “Faces of Death” LP
A re-issue of a highly sought-after album from 1989. D-beat influenced Swedish hardcore punk with the progression into thrash and speed metal influences that was all de-rigueur at that particular point in time (think: early Voivod, Motorhead and Broken Bones, and crimped hair). The sinisterly named Black Uniforms were originally active from 1981 until 1983 – when one of their members joined Moderat Likvidation and another joined The Bristles – only for all members to get back together again in 1986. Members went on to play in Anti-Cimex and Driller Killer.
