Description

Black Easter- “Ready To Rot” 7″

A reissue of a lost obscurity from the UK’s early 1980’s punk scene. Formed in 1982 in Farnborough, Hampshire, Black Easter supported the likes of Cult Maniax, Subhumans and  Flux Of Pink Indians. A few demos were recorded, but they only had one proper 7″ (released by Illuminated Records in 1982), presented here with the original artwork and additional foldout insert with band´s history, photos, lyrics and flyers. There’s probably good reason why you hadn’t heard of Black Easter before – they were neither obvious ’82 street punk, anarcho, or proto-hardcore – but for anyone who enjoys snotty, small-town, punk obscurities – plenty of charm, if not musical talent –  this is a total winner. Members of The Chats would be all over this.
