Bad Brains – self-titled LP (Punk Note version)
The holy grail of American hardcore punk, originally released back in 1982 as a cassette-only release on ROIR (Reachout International Records). After being banned from all the major clubs in their hometown of Washington DC, Bad Brains moved to New York City in 1981, and played gigs in the Alphabet City’s 171-A Studios, where they ultimately ended-up recording this album. This is the new press for 2022, redesigned by John Yates of Stealworks with a jazz themed jacket as part of the ‘Punk Note’ series of Bad Brains reissues. Including new liner notes.
