Atavistik Death Pose – s/t 7″ EP
Debut from East London reprobates with a taste for the estoteric. Featuring the notorious Bloody Kev (of Hard To Swallow, then Dead Inside, more recently Diagnosis? Bastard! amongst others) on the micropohone. Twisted, gnarly, noise- it’s hardcore punk, sure enough – but contorted into something darker and more… out there. Sonically, Perspex Flesh attempted something similar to this, and going back further in time, so too did Pleasant Valley Children – a sound that is akin to mixing Citizens Arrest/Born Against with Celtic Forst, Rudimentray Peni, and of course, in this instance, Hard To Swallow.
