The Accüsed – “The Return of Martha Splatterhead” (Earache black/yellow/red cover) LP
A new repress of the UK version (yellow and red sleeve art) released by Earache (their first release) and C.O.R. Records in 1987 (as opposed to the blue cover/US version released by Subcore Records a year earlier). Gore-drenched Seattle hardcore metal-punk, equal parts Discharge and (early) Metallica, with the recent addition of Blaine Cook of The Fartz on vocals. Some, back in the day, called it crossover. But The Accüsed were, first and foremost, splattercore.
