M.I.A. – “Murder In A Foreign Place: 40th Anniversary Edition” LP
Marking the 40th anniversary of this important American punk album, Alternative Tentacles and Modern City have teamed up to repress Murder In A Foreign Place for 2024. Now with a total of 19 tracks, including the original album along with two studio out-takes and the full Greencarton demos. M.I.A. were a fast, (but) melodic, political hardcore band from Orange County, California (via Las Vegas, Nevada), active from 1980 to 1987, this was the first full length (released after the split with Genocide). The true sound of American punk circa 1984, acting as midway balance between the two camps of classic melodic punk (Bad Religion, Adolescents, Social Distortion, TSOL) and the aggression/attitude of peace punk (Crucifix, Iconoclasts, Neon Christ, MDC, Christ On Parade).
