IabhorHer – Self-titled LP
This is a treat from the obscurity archives – some of you, who were buying Slap A Ham 7″s back in the mid ’90s, might remember this short-lived New York death/sludge/hardcore band. They were comprised of guitarist/vocalist Joe Capizzi (Dim Mak, Cattlepress, The Dying Light), bassist Javier Villegas (Born Against, Cattlepress, Sin, Kylesa) and drummer Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, Discordance Axis, Burnt By the Sun etc.). A churning grind of downtuned doom with guttural vocals. Side A of this EP was originally released as the Crowskin/Splint 7” (Slap A Ham in 1994), the B side has two tracks originally released on the “Cry Now, Cry Later Vol 2” and “Step On a Crack Vol 2” compilations. For the first time, this session is released on a single record and remastered by James Plotkin and with new cover art from Tim Lehi.
