X – “X-Aspirations” LP

The X  formed in Sydney, Australia, 1977 (rather than the Californian X). After the sudden death of guitarist Ian Krahe in 1978, the band pushed on with singer Steve Lucas picking-up guitar, and then recorded as a three piece what would become, in a quick five hour session, the X-Aspirations album as a three-piece in 5 hours. Rleased on their own label in early 1980. The album went on to be listed as one of the 200 Greatest Australian Records of All Time and called “one of the best punk records of all time” in Maximum Rock’n’roll. Featuring new cover art sanctioned by the band’s only surviving member, Steve Lucas.
