Spirito Di Lupo – “Vedo La Tua Faccia Nei Giorni Di Pioggia” LP
The 2023 debut album by the experimental Italian punk band, based between Milan and Bologna. Radical DIY punk – this has been co-released by La Vida Es Un Mus and Iron Lung, after all – a mix of classic Italian hardcore of the 1980’s, along with timeless anarcho-punk spirit (the male female vocal trade-off, especially) and post-punk atmospherics (mainly due to the chorus-pedal-infused guitar). I was recently alerted to the greatness of S.D.L. via their contribution to the Still No P.E.A.C.E. Still War compilation album – way late to this modern day Euro punk classic (in my defence, both labels bang-out so many records it becomes frustratingly hard to keep up! But the main thing is that we get wise eventually and harvest the juiciest fruit whist they’re still ripe).
