Formed out of the ashes of Floor and Cavity – two bands that set the template for extremely heavy noise-rock back in the ’90s-into-the-’00s – Torche have been taking that legacy and unashamedly adding whatever-the-fuck-they-want to it ever since: which on the whole has been a new version of the same heavy, but full of joyous big tunes and indie-rock melodies. Torche are shot-loads of heavy, heavy hard-rock fun, all lined-up in a row on the bar. Admission is their fifth full-length record, released in the summer of 2019, and wrapped in a stylish metallic/mirror sleeve. Gurt lush.
