Available on vinyl for the first time in years – their second album, originally released by the excellent Second Nature label in 2000 – the reissue of Moving Mountains comes in an updated heavy duty sleeve, with an insert/lyric sheet. The Casket Lottery where active from 1997 to 2006, starting life as a spin off from twisted metalcore maveriks Coalesce; and joined by the 15 year old drummer from Appleseed Cast. Their sound was aligned with the emo/indie rock sound that was prevalent at that time, ala Promise Ring, Get Up Kids, Sunny Day Real Estate, but with the added muscular kick that the you would expect from members of Coalesce. I always grouped them alongside Texas Is The Reason and early Planes Mistaken For Stars…
