Description

Swing Kids – “Anthology” LP

The San Diego phenomena that exploded all over the 1990s in a fabulous mess of jazzy pretensions and proto-screamo ferocity. Born from the (comparatively) more straight-ahead hardcore bands Struggle and Unbroken, the Swing Kids went on to have a huge influence and legacy of profound significance. Starting with their debut self-titled 7″ on Kidney Room Records, followed by the split 10″ that they shared with Spanakorzo (with whom they shared a member). One last song was recorded  – “El Camino Car Crash” – which you may already know from the nine-song Discography CD that Three One G released in the late 90s. This new Anthology has an additional two tracks: an updated version of “Situations On Mars”, and a track called “Fake Teeth”, (both were released as a 7″ in 2011). For the first time, all of these tracks have been remastered by Brent Asbury and are in one physical release, the complete Swing Kids “Anthology”.
