Special Interest – “Trust No Wave” LP
This New Orleans industrial-punk-noise-‘no-wave’ band released this twenty minute demo recording in 2016. Raw early versions of songs that re-appeared (re-recorded and fine tuned) on their debut album, 2018’s Spiralling. The Slits being taken over by Throbbing Gristle, with the indie pop of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs buried somewhere within, shouldn’t work, yet somehow it does, and it’s really cool and proper exciting. This debut recording is now on vinyl for the first time, with a bonus track, new sleeve design, and including an 8 page zine.
