Description
Spat “Beneath The Clouds” LP
The super-limited six track mini album from these fast thrashin’ punks from Edinburgh (with at least one member based in Berlin, too, I believe). Politically-fired hardcore punk that manages to convey a Scottish feel – don’t ask me to define how exactly… but, if I heard these songs through an anonymous void I’m pretty certain my memory banks would light-up with Sedition and Scatha (maybe, even, the tiniest trace of Oi Polloi, too). A more modern comparison clearly places Spat alongside Rat Cage, Retsu, Ruined Virtue, Total Con, Bleaks, Tormented Imp etc. Makin’um a welcome addition to a thriving UK-Euro scene. Don’t hang around, only 100 copies have been pressed-up.
