Skinhead “The Plan: 1″ 7”
The track “PLan:1” is a new song from Skinhead – anthemic and catchy as you would expect. Side two, “Plan:2”, is a spoken word track – I presume this is passage from Records On An Island which is the debut short story by Joshua Long, the voice and songwriter behind the band.
My take: I’m warming to Skinhead’s schtick, and it’s good to be hearing such strong melodies in hardcore once again; while the spoken/narrative feature is always a win (I think it worked well for Defeater back along, too). The Oi! thing, though – if that still exists as a band identity – is still dead hooky.
