Sightless Pit – “Grave of a Dog” LP
An industrial-metal collaboration that gets the right balance between nerve shredding white noise and easier-going beats and vocals, which keeps it intense and also weirdly capivating. There’s alot going on, and often you find yourself thinking: fuck that sounds amazing, a bit strange… but amazing. And like nothing else you have heard before, which is always a bonus. A trio comprised of Kristin Hayter (Lingua Ignota), Lee Buford (The Body) and Dylan Walker (Full Of Hell): three different backgrounds in extreme music that part-way goes to explain the extraordinary nature of this album. And it’s on Thrill Jockey, a label that, since the early 90s, has always pushed at the boundries of alternative music, and always within the parimeters of a high level of quality control.
