The debut studio album by the American punk rock pioneers that formed in the middle-class neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. Released by Sire Records in 1976, with the iconic sleeve photograph of the band in front of a brick wall (a community garden located in the Bowery neighborhood of New York) dressed in ripped jeans and leather jackets, taken by Punk magazine’s Roberta Bayley.
