Rain Like The Sound Of Trains – “Singles” LP
A very great Washington DC band that existed from 1992 to 1995. They were an exact sum of their (band members’) parts: Verbal Assault, Beefeater and Soulside. Resulting in a version of DC punk that was heavily groove-orientated and righteously principled (and a big influence on bands like Faraquet). Funky basslines, tight rocking guitar riffs (like early ZZ Top!) and soulful dual vocals, topped by highly politicised lyrics and ethics. This LP contains eight songs from their three singles that were released on Rebel Music/Dischord and Atomic Action! Digital download includes bonus demo tracks.
Warning: this is quite an old record from 2016 and the sleeve shows some signs of ware and aging (primarily a crease on the front sleeve -check the photo, it’s just about visible). It has been marked down in price accordingly (from £16).
