Pygmy Lush – “Cold World / Guilt” 7″
Two “quiet songs” that didn’t quite fit on the Old Friends album from the same session, recorded by Kurt Ballou in Salem, MA in 2011. Minimal instrumentation, crackling with hushed calm and restrained tension. Darkness never far away. Adding to it are the fantastic vocal deliveries by Johnny Ward and Aimee Argote (Des Ark), who lends her vocals to one of the tracks, as well as beats by new drummer Eric Kane (Strike Anywhere).
