Public Disturbance “S&M 45 / Live At CBGB 1984” LP
Puke N Vomit Records digging-up the past once again. Is it treasure? Or is it merely yesterday’s landfill?… As is often the case with the reissues on this label it takes a bit of further investigation: Public Disturbance were an early-’80s punk band formed in New Jersey in 1981 and this is the first official reissue of their S&M 7″ that was released in 1983 on Mutha Records (Chronic Sick, The Worst, Parasites, Fatal Rage etc.), and then unofficially re-released as part of Killed By Death series in the 1990s, making it one of the more sought-after slices of East Coast hardcore punk (highest price on Discogs for an original is £423.50). This full-length compiles the 7″ tracks along with unreleased live material recorded at the legendary CBGBs in New York. Sixteen tracks in total.
