This 30th anniversary edition features the two bonus tracks from the 2006 reissue and the bonus track from the 2009 reissue, making this the most complete version of Drop Dead. These nine tracks were recorded in 1984 at Radio Beat in Boston by Lou Giordano. This is a classic. A must have for anyone interested in ’80s hardcore. Napalm Death, Infest, Dropdead, Heresy, Neanderthal were all completely influenced by Siege as were countless others over the decades. Listening to this recording again in 2018, I’m struck by the insane level of nihilism and rage that must have possessed these disgruntled suburban youths. One of those damn fucking crazy freak records, you don’t get ’em often, like it spilled out of the darkness of a previously unexplored recess of the human psyche. Teacher shat himself by all accounts.
