PREY – “Loathing” LP

The second full-length 12″ release from this raging hardcore band of High Wycombe. A fast paced rush of thrashing beats and manic guitar riffs, with urgent trade-off vocals shared between diferent members of the band for that timelessly great contrast of vocal styles – that somehow lends itself perectly to protest punk such as this, really helping to hammer home the pertinent points expressed with the lyrics; lrics that are, incidently, packaged in an especially lush hand built/printed/numbered booklet, which is one of the stand-outs of an album that ain’t short of a fair few impressive qualities. Production, packaging, musicanship, levels of passion and intergrity – all top notch.
