Description

Poison Girls – “Hex” LP

Legendary first generation punk band formed in Brighton in 1976 that went on to locate themselves at the spearhead of the anarchist DIY movement, closely allied to Crass, with whom they shared 100 gigs (and known to many a teen punk of the 80’s for their phenomenal Persons Unknown/Bloody Revolutions split 7″ – which raised £10,000 for ‘the cause’). The mini album, Hex, was released in 1979 on the bands own Xntrix label with the help of Small Wonder (later repressed on Crass Records in 1981), recorded by Penny Rimbaud at Southern Studios, featuring guest contributions from Eve Libertine and Vi Subversa’s offspring Pete Fender and Gem Stone of (at that point in time) Fatal Microbes.
