Description
Pleasure “Manic Phase” LP
A furious assault of hardcore aggression on the debut release by this exciting new UK band from up north. Up north, as in, anywhere above Yeovil. There’s a scary world up there, I should know I’ve been to Shepton Mallet (once) – and made all the more terrifying due to dangerous bands such as Pleasure roaming about the place. Heaven help us, the north.
This eight track debut viciously attacks the ears from the off and then never lets up. Savage it is. I actually saw these guys play over in Plymouth with Sex Germs sometime last year – did Pleasure pleasure me? That’s none of your business – but, they were terrific. Wild and unhinged in all the right ways. And, all the while, tightly bound together with a musical precision that twists and turns with unpredictable dexterity – bringing to mind peak-era Bl’ast! no less (shout out to Annihilation Time, too). Get it quick, only 200 copies have been pressed-up.
Oh yeah, members of Beta Blockers, Wound, Total Con, plus an old-hand from Deviated Instinct.
