P J Harvey – “Dry” LP

Originally released on Too Pure Records in 1992. Produced by Head at the local Icehouse studio in Yeovil (Thatcher On Acid also recorded there!). The debut release for Polly Harvey’s new band – formed from their shared involvement in John Parish’s Automatic Dlamini, (and perhaps united by a shared enthusiam for Surfa Rosa and Spiderland). It was this three piece band, to my mind – rather than as a solo artist – that recorded the best P J Harvey albums (this one, Dry, and also Rid Of Me of the following year). Back in print for the first time in almost 20 years, this reissue was remastered by Head, and has been replicated to the original version as much as possible.
