Description
Neglect “Pull The Plug” 12″ EP
A repress of the the 1993 7″ EP from the Long Island, New York hardcore band. Wreck-Age was a label to keep an eye on back in the day (along with Vermiform, Wardance etc.), releasing some great records – SFA’s So What?, the Yuppiecide EP, Die 116’s Damage Control – and in among them this slightly mysterious EP by Neglect. A band who opted for a slower, heavier version of hardcore, similar to Sheer Terror or Sick Of It All, but with a groove-lead tempo more aligned to Helmet compared to their comrades on the stages of CBGB’s and ABC No Rio; and thematically sharing much in common with the negativity and neurosis of Unsane. I wouldn’t say that have become a NYHC legend, per se, however, probs through word of mouth, their legacy has picked-up a certain amount of notoriety and admiration over the decades, due in large part to their record’s overriding sense of super-dark, what-the-fuck-ness.
An EP made available again, now available as a 12″, with the addition of the two songs from the original 7″ plus three bonus tracks.
