Mogwai – “Ten Rapid (Collected Recordings 1996-1997)” LP
Released by their own label, Rock Action, in the year of 1997, back when Mogwai were a little known post rock band, mixing-up their Slint, Tortoise and Seam influences, gigging and releasing 7″s via the DIY network, and like many other bands in those times, stealing as many Spiderland ideas as was possible. This complies early highlights, released on various 7″s (New Paths To Helicon, Summer/Ithica, and Tuner/Lower etc.) – the nascent years from their long-spanning (and, has to be said, hugely successful) career.
