The Meatmen – “We’re the Meatmen… And You Suck!” LP
One of the less celebrated releases to come out on Touch And Go Records in its hardcore hayday, circa 1983 (compared to Negative Approach, Die Kreuzen, The Fix etc.), probably in part due to the divisive nature of Tesco Vee’s offensive lyrics (that fine line between being a sharp-witted satirists; and an attention seeking bully). This is referred to as the band’s first album, but it is actually a compilation of sorts, combining the seven tracks from the 1982 EP Blüd Sausage, with a live set from New York’s Mudd Club on side two.
