MARIETTA – “Compilation” LP

As the title suggests this compiles a bunch of recordings for this Philadelphia mathy/post-hardcore/indie-pop outfit – The Cuts 7″ from 2015, and the tracks from the split 7″ with Modern Baseball, plus unreleased demo recordings. Big tunes and picky guitars, often reminiscent of Polyvinyl releases from the ’90s (Rainer Marie and American Football), combined with the familiar Mid-West indie/emo of The Hotelier, Everyone Everywhere, Algernon Cadwallader etc.
