Description
Listerine self-titled LP
Super fast hardcore punk from Paris, the debut eleven track album from these oral hygiene fixated thrash heads. Aural hygiene, too. A sonic mouthwash for the ears. European influences of the 1980s come to my mind, even if they aren’t overt, or intentional: BGK, early Negazione, Wretched… And bringing it more up-to-date, I’m getting a hit of Anti Mob (one of the greatest political hardcore punk bands of the century. If not thee greatest). Think also of Lasso or Unidad Ideológica for contemporary references.
Desperate and intense – a trip to the dentist can be a traumatic experience. As too is the musical barrage of Listerine.
