La Rabbia – “Shock Tactics” LP
Caustic protest punk from a band based in London featuring members of Miscaulculations and The Gaggers. The distoro-noise and the polemics are similar to Bad Breeding, (likewise, 80s anarcho punk probably has an influence). Cress and Burnt Cross come to mind too, mainly due to (what sounds like) the non-human machine-drum-beats (it might be a real drummer, just playing a simple beat, either way it works). This reminds me, weirdly, of listening to an international tape compliation from the 1980s, when this one track from a less familair nationality suddenly jumps out at you, because they have that kind of vitriolic energy and odd originality that captures your interest more than anything else. Comes in a hand coloured/spray painted sleeve.
