L.I.B. – “Men’s Health” 12″ EP
The debut EP/mini-album from Indianapolis’ L.I.B. (“Life Is Beautiful“). Borrowing from the lighter/more humorous side of power violence (a tradition you can trace all the way back to Spazz and PHC) taking also a leaf or two from the HIRS Collective’s hymn book, and then dropping ten heavyweight tracks of burly blast-beat hardcore “aimed at questions of masculinity, well being, and the overriding sense of disdain that often clouds living”. Kind of reminds me of Phoenix Bodies. I liked Phoenix Bodies. And it’s on Convulse Records, so you know it’s going to smash your face-in, with panache.
