KOHTI TUHOA – “Ihmisen Kasvot” LP

An interesting label switch for Finland’s Kohti Tuhoa – after two albums on Southern Lord and Svart Records they release their third through LVEUM Records (understandable, as it is far more of a natural base and spiritual home for a DIY punk band in 2019). This takes Kohto Tuhoa’s sound – a fast, politicised brand of hardcore bombast (Torso and Punch fans should take note) – up to new heights of progression and musical ability. Helena’s vocals are way more expressive, like she has become increasingly aware and confident of where her voice can go. Three albums in, it feels like Kohti Tuhoa have truly arrived. A rager of Scandinavian fire and fury.
