Kleenex, Liliput – “First Songs” Double LP
A compilation on two 12″ records that combines the three Kleenex singles, and – after being forced by a tissue company to change their name – the first 2 LiLiPUT 7″’s (thankfully Jonathan Swift was more laid back about issues of copyright) and all the originally unreleased material prior to their debut LP. Everything from 1978 to 1982. Anarchic Swiss punk that was inventive and joyfully unrestrained – in the same vein as rough traders like Swell Maps and The Raincoates, and of course, The Slits, too. Released collaboratively by Water Wing, Kill Rock Stars and Mississippi Records.
