“Guitar Army – Rock And Revolution with MC5 and The White Panther Party” Book includes CD

By John Sinclair, introduction by Michael Simmons

First published in 1972, Guitar Army was the manifesto for a generation of young, revved-up readers in a turbulent but idealistic time of riots and wars, when long-haired proto-punk-rockers posed with guns and demanded freedom and social change. Author John Sinclair spearheaed the White Panther party and managed the notorious Detroit band MC5. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison after giving away two marijuana joints to a nark. This volulme contains the incendiary street writings that helped put him in jail and the prison writings that helped get him out. Contains a CD compilation with recordings by John Sinclair, Allen Ginsberg, Bobby Seale, plus tracks by Up!, Rationals and MC5.
